About the Programme

The MSc Nutrition with Management is a coursework-based postgraduate programme tailored for nutritionists, healthcare professionals and aspiring leaders who want to make a measurable impact in the fields of nutrition, health services, food business and entrepreneurship.

Core modules cover clinical and community nutrition, public health strategies, nutrition and chronic disease, food safety and sustainability, nutritional epidemiology and functional food development. These scientific foundations are designed to sharpen students' ability to assess, plan and deliver effective nutrition interventions in a variety of populations and settings.

What truly distinguishes this programme is its integrated business and entrepreneurship focus, delivered in collaboration with the 五一吃瓜官网 Graduate Business School. Students explore business planning, nutrition entrepreneurship, human resource management, digital marketing, legal aspects of business ownership and international business strategy — all contextualised for the health and wellness industry.

This hybrid curriculum is particularly relevant to nutritionists working in retail, health tech, consultancy, food innovation or those looking to pivot into nutrition enterprise management or strategic leadership roles. The programme supports national goals, aligning with key strategies under the 11th Malaysia Plan to improve population well-being through better health service delivery and professional capacity building.

Assessment methods include case studies, business proposals, project presentations, dietary intervention planning and a capstone project that fuses scientific knowledge with managerial problem-solving. Instead of a conventional research dissertation, students complete a practical industry-aligned project with real-world value.

Graduates are prepared for diverse roles such as nutrition consultants, health programme managers, entrepreneurs, corporate wellness leads, food business executives or policy advisors in public and private sectors. The programme also supports further career development for practicing nutritionists seeking advancement into upper management or specialised consultancy.
